Woodberry Recovery

  FREE RECOVERY PROGRAMME

Woodberry Recovery is organised and run by a team of caring Christian volunteers who are reaching out to those who struggle with life-controlling issues and destructive behavioural patterns; from addictive gambler, alcohol or drug user to those trapped in porn, eating issues, self-harm and anything in between, even those who struggle with panic, anger, fearful and anxious thoughts patterns.

We offer training and advice for people in recovery, through a seminars in group support and other therapeutic activities.
We also run group support sessions and creative workshops. These are intended to help alleviate isolation and loneliness and also facilitate sharing of information and experiences. Alongside these group activities, we also offer peer support and mentoring for men and women.

All our meetings enable people to find a caring community and break isolation and loneliness in their struggles, and to know that people do care and that there is help and hope to combat destructive habits.

Time: Woodberry Recovery is a recurring meeting from 6:30 pm on Tuesday and 6:30 pm on Thursday evening. We also run Support Groups twice a month on Saturday afternoon from 2pm - 4pm, and Creative Arts; writing, baking, drawing and gardening on alternate Saturdays.

Disni Arts and Crafts

Creative arts is part of our recovery programme that includes a set of therapeutic activities like gardening, drawing, knitting, and cooking to support those in recovery and their families.

Recovery from life-controlling habits takes a long journey. It often involves a set of planned and regular events and activities, that offer opportunities to break from isolation and loneliness, secrecy and struggles with mental health or blockages.

Our creative workshops will help you to make new friends, share life with others, and set up positive, achievable, and sustainable goals that stimulate and excite attention away from addictive substances or behaviour.  You will be helped to create new patterns of doing life away from negative influences or engagement in destructive substances of choice.
